About us
The Village Panchayat of Betalbatim is situated in Salcete Taluka of South Goa District. The Panchayat comprises 7 wards and has 7 elected representatives (3 males, 4 females). Its jurisdiction includes a Government Primary School and a Diocesan Society School. Additionally, there is a Rural Medical Dispensary (RMD), a BSNL Telephone Exchange, Post Office, Talathi’s Office, and Visionaries for water and electricity bill payments, all within the Betalbatim Panchayat premises. The distance to the main hospital (Hospicio Hospital, Margao) is 7 km. The Panchayat’s main sources of income are house taxes, grants, and trade tax.
